  • Hey everyone!

Since I already started documenting the history of my braces here I thought I should also let you know that I have reached the final stage - they took off the braces and now I have a nice plastic retainer that I have to wear for the next three months. But on the whole - I'm happy!!! Jaime, you were right - I just want to smile all the time

And at the same time I also want to present to you our bestest home group - the one person you might not recognise is Tiina - Ave's sister. She replaced Margit after she went to Tartu and we still have three sets of sisters - yay!

So here's a picture of our home group smiling like me!

  • Isn't it the best feeling to know that you're loved. To know people who make you want to be a better person. To see that it IS possible to reflect God's love to others!

  • Only those who want to know what's going on in my life should continue reading this post. Otherwise it's going to be boring I can tell you.
The first week of school is over. It was quite ok actually. I had my first classes of interpreting in German, and at the beginning it scared the hell out of me, but the last time was quite ok even. The interesting thing is that there's only two people in my German interpreting class (including me!) and it means I'll get quite a lot of practice, which I guess is a good thing
On the whole I think interpreting is pretty cool, especially because I can find out so many new things on so many different subjects. And this semester we only have interpeting classes, no more boring general theory subjects. So it's better than I thought it would be.
But the biggest change in my life was Margit leaving home and going to live with Riina in Tartu. I'm happy for her but it's so weird without her. I guess I'll just have to manage Makes me appreciate her more for sure...

  • A Prayer Request

    Dear friends!

My dearest youngest sister Mai graduated from highschool this year. She now has to decide what to do with her life. When I graduated I knew exactly what I wanted to do. But she doesn't. Therefore I continue to pray for her and hope that she would be able to decide and that God would let her know His will for her life. If you would, please pray for her

  • Dear friends!
It seems that the news has already leaked somehow - so in order to prevent any further rumours, here is the official announcement: Yes, I have finally my wonderful braces! The photo evidence shows:

    1. Me trying to hide them and act normal.            2. My new best friend that I use in order to drink coke.      3. All the beauty is finally revealed!

And I actually still have some friends left! Liis promised she would love me even with the braces
And this picture proves that Iiris was also
    not afraid of me!

PS! My apologies for looking dreadful - I wasn't actually prepared for a surprise photoshoot by Liis on Ave's birthday. I just don't have any other pictures of mu braces

  • I realise it's been two months already... Two months of ups and downs. The good thing throughout all this is that I feel that the Super Seven has grown a lot closer. My father's favourite saying is that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and fortunately that seems to be the case. We have a nice weekly routine of "Purpose-driven Life" discussions on Tuesdays and "The Secrets of the Vine" on Wednesdays. We've also had special projects like the T-shirts and spring cleaning (of which I think Triin also posted a video). The only problem is with Sundays but so far we've managed to come up with something each time. Also Ron and Judy have visited us and once we went over to their house on Sunday, which was really cool because I found out so much more about them like the fact that Ron likes to paint and I was once again convinced of how of good a cook Judy is

The coolest event in a long time was "Piiblip輑vad" (the Bible days) the past weekend. You can read about it on Merlin's Xanga, for example, for different points of view. For me among other things it meant two days of very little sleep on a gym floor, but even that couldn't spoil the whole thing for me. The most wonderful thing was the meeting on Saturday night. After a great message I felt really moved and the most wonderful moment was when we were in a prayer circle with Iiris, Mai and Heli and Iiris said that she felt like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders. It just made me realise how important real fellowship is. I feel that we are strong as a group and we've grown a lot in the past few months, but we really need to be open with our thoughts and problems concerning our faith. Just recently I made a huge mistake by not telling others about my doubts and that is why I now really want to help prevent others from doing the same mistake. Over the past weekend I was amazed how great my closest group is and how much I love them. At the last meeting on Sunday we heard a message that confirmed my thoughts on sharing our faith. We got balloons that represented it. If we keep it closed inside us like in a balloon it will rot. So we have to blow them up. We have to share it so it can grow and spread.

Right now Triin is making a video of the Piiblip輑vad. There you will see the whole thing in action. I am just glad to say that it was a growing experience for me.
    Amen.

  • Today at the airport when I couldn't stop crying Ron told me something precious.
He said: "This is the price we pay for love."

You know what, I'd rather have it than not.
    I'd much rather have it...

  • I just want to say that I'm REALLY grateful for the times I got to go to Tartu on Sunday mornings this year. It was a lot of fun both times: there was singing of camp songs, confusion between cheeseburgers and McTastys (aka McMessys), running over of road signs and disturbing people with MP3-players. Oh, and I even got to sit in the back seat on our way back this time and could hide from Triin and her camera - well, almost

Oh, and would you rather go snowtubing or skiing?

  • Christmas is a time to spend with your family - a time to open presents and eat yummy national food and nag and make fun of each other and go to church (which is full of people!) and listen to christmas music. I love it

    Merry Christmas, everyone!
